THE RITE OF WELCOME AND ACCEPTANCE
took place at the 9:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday, November 20. After several weeks of sharing faith stories and Scripture, asking
questions about and discussing Catholicism, seven adults have been accepted into the next phase of RCIA. They are: Maria H. Brown,
Joann Gonsiewski, Megan R. Hennessy, Michael E. Luciw,
Lauren Migliaccio, Linda R. Pisciotta and Bradley C. Young. During
our Fellowship after Mass, we also welcomed a new Participant in the
program, Katherine DeMarco.
During
the upcoming time period, our catechumens and candidates will enter a
time of formal instruction in the Catholic faith. Our role as a parish
community is to support them with our prayers and to witness their
continuing journey toward the Easter celebration of their initiation
sacraments.
If you wish to know more about RCIA or participate in the
upcoming formation sessions, please contact Fr. Ed Jocson through the
Parish Center (908) 276-0360. We give thanks and praise to the Holy
Spirit who has led these brothers and sisters of ours from a variety of
paths to a oneness in faith. |
